,

If you're interested in GIS and want to dip into it to work on Greyhawk cartography you are invited to join me in a Zoom meeting, Tuesday December 9th at 7PM EST. The plan is to have a two hour workshop using shared screens where we can go over a bunch of GIS and Greyhawk cartography related topics - with the focus on getting started using QGIS with my Geopackage.

Topics

Introduction to GIS and QGIS

How to install and set it up, and the basics of GIS.

My Greyhawk GIS maps

We go over data structure, styles, symbols, fonts and more

Geopackage

How to install it and use it.

Projections

An introductions to projections and how to use custom ones.

Exports, Layouts, Formats, PDFs, Printing

An introduction to how to create and export your map for digital and print.

I will make a post with links to QGIS, the Geopackage and other resources needed for the workshop when we get a bit closer.

GIS and how to use QGIS is a huge topic which will require a series of seminars, so consider this workshop an introduction and more will be required to master things 🙂
